This programme is intended for learners who need to make decisions and recommendations about financing options for a new venture and implementing an action plan, in terms of the practical and physical aspects; derived from a business plan for establishing a new venture. Learners will be able to work effectively with others as a member of a team, group, organisation or community. They will also be able to organise oneself and one's activities by carefully considering the advantages and disadvantages of capital funding options for a new venture. The programme will provide the learners with the ability to evaluate information in order to make informed financial decisions with clear understanding of the implications.

Learners will be able to design an action plan for a new venture. They will gain skills on how to set up business premises and operational systems, implement business financial systems and identify the risks associated with the new venture.

Learners should be competent in Computer Literacy, Mathematical Literacy and Communication at NQF Level 3 or equivalent.
