Stores and Warehousing Management provides a framework for learners to develop competencies that will enable them to become competent junior managers, supervisors and team leaders. It introduces the same theoretical concepts, skills and application as the National Certificate: Management with four specialisation areas encompassing the use of stores and warehousing in operations; the role of materials handling in the warehouse; the role of stocktaking in ensuring inventory accuracy and a deeper understanding of the functions of the purchasing cycle.

This qualification is run as a Learnership over 12 months. Candidates will need to attend 3 days of training (on average) each month in addition to completing their assignments.

Training will take place using the tried-and-tested benefits of instructor-led learning.

For large groups (10 or more), training times can be arranged according to your date and time requirements, delivered on-site at your premises or through a host company.

Who Should Attend

This programme is targeted at learners who are currently in or to be trained to eventually fulfil junior management positions in an organization, specifically in the stores, warehousing and logistics departments. Junior management includes, but is not limited to team leaders, supervisors, first line managers, section heads and first level of management in an organisation at which an employee has other employees reporting to him/her.

We offer a thorough pre-assessment process to align learners to appropriate qualifications and levels. Entry requirements for this qualification include:

  • Communication at NQF Level 3.
  • Mathematical literacy NQF Level 3.
