Data is the pulse on everyone's target!
Each year, Don Taylor, Executive chairman of the Learning and Performance Institute, asks 1,953 L&D professionals across 92 countries, one question: “What will be hot in workplace L&D this year?". The L&D Global Sentiments Survey aims to predict what the future has in store for workplace learning every year.
For the first time in the six years the report has run, all three top items share one common link.
It’s Data.
This marks a significant change for L&D, away from content creation and delivery (in the classroom, or online) towards personalized learning, supported by data.
This approach to learning is based on the ability to find the right approach for a particular learning need. How will this impact delivery? Will Artificial Intelligence (AI) allow employees to find what they need to learn as a seamless part of their work? Only time will tell.
These results are only the first hints at change, but they do seem like a seismic shift in how L&D professionals are viewing the role of L&D.
