iLearn teams-up with Netex Learning to prioritise digital learning in SA
March 2018: An exclusive partnership between iLearn – a leading, accredited corporate learning solutions provider in South Africa and Netex Learning – developers of world class cloud-based online learning solutions, is set to take digital learning to a new level in South Africa and Africa.
With technology evolving at a rapid pace we find ourselves entering a new age of learning, says iLearn CEO, Richard Rayne. Globalisation is expanding our reach, automation is altering processes and new skills are emerging. According to research conducted by Bersin for Deloitte: A Quantum Leap Ahead for Learning Organisation Maturity, this new era is not only a shift in tools, it’s a shift toward employee-centric design. Today’s digital learning does not mean producing content that can be viewed on one’s phone, it means ‘bringing learning to where employees are’.
According to research conducted by the Fosway Group: Digital Learning Realities for the 2018 Learning Technologies Conference, L&D needs to be ‘digitally-led, rather than digitally supported’. iLearn CEO, Richard Rayne says, “As a leading, world-class learning platform, Netex Learning’s LearningCloud was identified as the perfect platform to take digital learning to the South African and Africa market. He describes the partnership as “a new dawn for digital learning in South Africa”, especially as it gains ground around the world.
The partnership enables iLearn to roll-out its digital learning solutions using Netex Learning’s LearningCloud. Breaking free from the constraints of the traditional Learning Management Systems, LearningCloud adopts an applications-based approach to provide learners with a more personalised and engaging environment in which to learn. LearningCloud is a fully integrated learning platform that can grow and adapt with changing business needs. It is able to provide solutions that incorporate gamification and social learning, as well as mobile learning for the modern-day learner.
“This is such an exciting time, this collaboration brings together two like-minded organisations with similar visions to help transform the face of digital learning in our country,” Rayne says.
Mike Byrne, Netex’s Global Channel Director says he is pleased to welcome iLearn to his organisation’s growing global partner community.
“The digital learning sector in Africa is developing year-on-year. We look forward to working with iLearn and delivering solutions that help individuals to develop and organisations to grow across Africa,” he says.
